Draft, pending legal review

This cookie policy has not been legally reviewed yet and may still change. The Dutch version prevails.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way: the website keeps a small value in your browser. We list both below, because the same rules apply to both.

  • Functional: needed for the website to work as you expect, for example to remember your cookie choice. We don't ask consent for these.
  • Analytics: to measure how the website is used. We ask your consent first.

We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no cookies from social networks.

2. Which ones we use

NameFromPurposeRetentionType
venurix-consentLocal storage Venurix Remembers whether you allowed or declined statistics. 12 months, then we ask again Functional
venurix-partner-dialogLocal storage Venurix Remembers that you've seen the launching partner notice, so it appears at most once every 30 days. Until you clear your browser data Functional
_gaCookie Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors with a random id, to count visits. 13 months Analytics, with consent
_ga_<id>Cookie Google Analytics Keeps track of which pages are viewed within one visit. 13 months Analytics, with consent

The sign-in pages of the Venurix app and the member portal (on subdomains of venurix.app) also use functional cookies only, to keep you signed in and protect forms. These are separate from these websites; see the privacy policy.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at the site, so we can improve the website. This is how we set it up:

  • Google Analytics only loads after you click Accept. If you decline, or make no choice, nothing is sent to Google.
  • Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Location is approximate, at country or city level.
  • Google signals, advertising features and sharing data with Google for its own purposes are switched off.
  • Google Analytics keeps the data per visitor for 14 months.
  • Google (Google Ireland Limited) processes the data for us as a processor. Data may also be processed in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses.

More about how Google handles data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. Changing your choice

You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop measuring immediately and remove the Google Analytics cookies.

You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The website keeps working; you'll then see the cookie notice again.

5. Changes and contact

If we start using other cookies, we update this policy and the date at the top, and ask for consent again where needed. Questions? Email info@venurix.com. How we handle data otherwise is described in the privacy policy.
